25 Oct Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
MRI is a diagnostic test to visualize the brain and its surrounding structures without using radiation, dye or other invasive techniques. The test uses computers and powerful magnets to create multiple layered images of the brain for interpretation by a radiologist.
The MRI is very sensitive and has many advantages over x-rays and CT scans. In some cases, dye or contrast can be used to enhance an MRI.
