I’m a San Francisco native. I had my first migraine when I was 8, and now at 62, I have them about 18 times a month. I’ve learned to manage them with naratriptan and am very excited about the new medications coming out. In spite of migraine I became a social worker, spending 16 years working with people with AIDS and 17 years in a private psychotherapy practice, specializing in bipolar disorder and substance abuse. I’ve retired early and am enjoying a lot of great volunteer work.
