A.A.N.: American Academy of Neurology
A.H.S.: American Headache Society
A.Q.H.: Certificate of Added Qualification in Headache Medicine (formerly know as CAQ)
C.B.I.S.: Certified Brain Injury Specialist
D.O.: Doctor of osteopathic medicine; equivalent to an M.D.
F.A.A.N.: Fellow American Academy of Neurology
F.A.C.P.:  Fellow of the American College of Physicians
F.A.H.S.: Fellow of the American Headache Society
M.B.B.S.: Bachelor of medicine, bachelor of surgery; an international medical degree equivalent to an M.D. in the U.S. system (also abbreviated as M.B., Ch.B.; M.B., B.Ch.; M.B., B.Chir.)
