Four people from around the nation will be recognized for exemplifying the National Headache Foundation’s (NHF) mission and will receive a 2022 Headache Heroes award.

Tom Dabertin, NHF Executive Director/CEO, said “each year our Executive Committee selects Headache Heroes who have made a positive difference in the headache and migraine community. It is imperative that we recognize the extraordinary people who go above and beyond to make the lives of others better.”

Nominations of Headache Heroes will be accepted in the following categories:

  • Healthcare Professional: Any healthcare provider who has made a difference.
  • Patient: Someone living with migraine disease or headache disorders.
  • Caregiver: The unsung hero caring for someone living with migraine disease or headache disorders.
  • Advocate: An individual or organization that is pursuing legislative, regulatory, or funding opportunities on behalf of the headache and migraine community.

Awardees will be announced in August and recognized at NHF’s 36th Annual Gala to be held October 8 at the Renaissance Hotel in Chicago. The Headache Heroes awards are now in their third year.
