Leading headache experts from the National Headache Foundation to discuss headache disorders, PTSD and answer veterans’ questions about migraine disease and headache disorders on the Veterans Views radio program.

CHICAGO, IL, Feb. 19, 2021 – The National Headache Foundation (NHF) is pleased to announce its participation in Veterans Views, a weekly radio program providing information on veteran and military issues that affect the nation’s 18 million veterans. Nationally acclaimed headache doctors will be answering veterans’ questions live on the air, Friday, Feb. 26 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Central Time.

Veterans Views is hosted by Patrick O’Donnell, U.S. Army, Vietnam Combat Veteran, and member of the 173rd Airborne. O’Donnell and four other veterans started the radio program in 2009. The host tackles issues from veterans’ health benefits to employment issues. The call-in program can be heard on WJOB.1230 AM/104.7 FM in Hammond, IN, or watched live on WJOB’s Facebook page, at www.wjob1230.com or www.jedtv.com. Veterans across the U.S. are encouraged to call in at 219-845-1100.

Veterans returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan have two to four times the incidence of migraine as compared to the general population, often along with post-traumatic stress disorder and other health problems. Many of these combat veterans have experienced some level of traumatic brain injury (TBI), including concussions, during their tours. The National Headache Foundation has been committed to providing valuable information and resources to the men and women who have served our country.
