50 Years of Exemplary Work in Headache Medicine

We congratulate the National Headache Foundation’s Executive Director, Mary Franklin, on her 50 years of exemplary work in headache medicine. On September 20, 1970, Mary started working for Dr. Seymour Diamond, who had a family practice with a growing contingency of headache patients. Dr. Diamond’s practice evolved into the Diamond Headache Clinic, and Mary’s role expanded to office administration, editing magazines, and co-authoring books.

In 2011, Mary began her work in headache advocacy and education with the National Headache Foundation. Thank you, Mary, for your dedication to making the lives of those living with migraine disease and headache disorders better.
