The National Headache Foundation is looking for a full-time Executive Assistant for Chicago office


Assist the Executive Chair with correspondence and other tasks. Assist the Executive Director with event planning, including venue and vendor research. Develop guests lists for events. Handle guest and sponsor correspondence. Coordinate volunteers for gala and other events. Conduct literature searches as it applies to both professional and consumer platforms. Assist with travel plans for Executive Director. Handles correspondence for Executive Director. Acts as Liaison with Board and various Councils. Organize Board meetings. Handles all exhibits (professional meeting and consumer events). Contracts with hosting organizations, prepare shipments for exhibits, registers appropriate personnel. Handle calls, emails, and other correspondence with donors and those calling on the Help Line.


1. Bachelor’s degree required

2. Fluency in Word, Excel, Sales Force

3. Excellent verbal and written communications skills

4. Research experience

5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues in a team environment

6. Ability to prioritize and support multiple projects

7. Travel required
