Patient Directed Research

Medicine often performs research on topics that are of interest to the researcher.

These topics often tend to be highly focused and are often not particularly well understood by those that experience the disorder. In addition, research is rarely conducted based upon ideas generated from patients. In this webinar we will hear ideas about research that are patient-generated. Based upon these ideas, as well as other patient forums, the National Headache Foundation will fund a grant on a “patient generated” topic. To our knowledge this is one of the first public forums for patients to let us know what they think are important research topics.
