I’ve been an NHF member for many years and find the newsletter informative and encouraging. During this time I was successful in managing my hormonal-related migraines with the regular use of depo provera, but that was years ago, now my daughter has become a migraineur as well and also found that hormones are involved with her headache disorder. (When pregnant or nursing her headaches disappear!) While seeking assistance for both of us, I learned of a natural hormones therapy through a friend. We took her advice and saw the same physician who was able to help us considerably. There must be any number of physicians who will test progesterone levels to see if it is higher than normal. As a result the regular use of the natural hormones therapy has decreased my 12 monthly migraines to four, and then over time, down to two. This has been the answer to my prayers.
This may not be the answer for all hormonal related headaches but every morning when I wake up healthy, I am amazed and grateful.
