Nerve Block

A nerve block is the injection of a local anesthetic (numbing) drug around a nerve, temporarily inactivating it. This procedure is usually used for the treatment of pain, chronic pain, dental work, or suturing lacerations. In headache treatment, occipital nerve blocks, facet blocks, or medical branch blocks are sometimes performed.
