Meet Our Speakers:

Cheryl McJoy knows firsthand the debilitating impact of migraine attacks, having experienced them since suffering a head injury from a fall off the wing of an aircraft. Through years of persistence and self-advocacy, she has navigated the challenges of misdiagnosis, treatment roadblocks, and the often-overlooked complexities of migraine management. Now, she is committed to educating others on the science behind migraine, identifying triggers, and advocating for better care.

Dr. Karen Williams DNP, FNP-BC, brings over 40 years of experience in the healthcare field, with extensive expertise in using an integrative approach to headache and pain management. Dr. Williams retired from federal service in April 2023, where she served as the Deputy Director of the Headache Center of Excellence (HCoE) at the Central Virginia Veterans Affairs Healthcare System in Richmond, VA, for three years. Prior to that, she directed the Headache Clinic at the Central Texas Veterans Healthcare System in Temple, TX, for six years, after spending five years treating service members and veterans at the Traumatic Brain Injury Program at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany.
